As I sit back and think about the 10-12 hour days I spent at work, I am reminded of the phrase, “Where you spend your time has your focus”.  This was an eye opener for me.  I spent half of my day at work! While working extra hours to make a deadline is fine, the extensive hours should not be the norm.  I am a very career oriented person; however I realize I haven’t been working on the right things. It is not about the hours that you put in. It is about being effective and working with others to get more done. At the end of the day, companies want people that have a good work life balance and can still get things done.

So where do I spend my time now: With family, friends, and other personal interests. How about you… where is Ur focus?
