What a powerful statement. One knowing without a doubt that you are part of something, that you belong to someone and with someone. It encapsulates the idea of oneness, destiny, purpose, and love. The love is amplified as it states, “his desire is for me”. Man, what a concept. If you think about it, there is so much in this world: riches, treasures, fame, and notoriety. Out of all that, what he wants is me…

He isn’t talking about the perfected me, the cleaned up me, the righteous me. It’s just me, the true essence of who I am.

We may think lowly of ourselves, just as a mere being, but that is not how you are seen. What God wants – you. And that makes you special. So when I go before him, I don’t have to pretend to be someone else because what he is looking for is me.
